North Fork Woodworks offers handcrafted custom residential staircases and furniture for indoors or out. From original designs or architectural specifications, Tom Dahlke can create works in any style, in any type of wood, as well as incorporating other trades.

Through a varied assortment of studies and pursuits Tom has gained a background uniquely suited to designing and building wood stairs and furniture. After growing up in historic towns in Connecticut, he studied design at the California College of Arts and Crafts. Tom has built boats, energy-efficient homes, custom furniture, period reproductions, and has worked for over twenty-five years building one-of-a-kind custom stairs.

After living in the Puget Sound region of Washington State for several years, Tom Dahlke has returned to Maine and now works out of his shop in Bath. He builds each piece with individual attention to its requirements and function. Working with architects, builders, landscape architects, and owners, he makes sure each piece is exactly what the customer desires.
